Carpooling saves the typical commuter about 1,200 miles on their vehicle and about $455 in total driving costs.  Show your carpool buddies who is the best in the group with these tips!

 Don’t leave ‘em waiting.

This tip is for drivers AND riders alike! Ensure you’re prompt by giving yourself enough time to prepare. If you’ve planned to be ready for 9 a.m. and take an hour to get prepared, be up by 7:30 a.m..

Safety comes first because injuries last.

Wear your seatbelt and encourage other passengers to buckle up, too!

 Get cozy.

Don’t be afraid to get to know your carpool buddies.  You can learn a lot about someone in a car ride, especially if you aren’t already well acquainted.

 Switch it up.

Avoid relying on one person to be the designated driver. Offer to take turns and split gas costs, so everyone carries a more even load.

 Let’s talk about etiquette!

Agree on car rules. Will you be allowed to snack in the vehicle? Do you want to chat during the ride or prefer silence? These are all things you should discuss with your carpool group to better understand how you’ll create a pleasant environment for everyone.

 Bring the vibes.

If you want a perfectly curated playlist for your carpool trip, we’ve got you covered! Choosing universal music can be challenging, and we want you to keep your eyes on the road!
