
Angela Castro
Deputy Chief Executive Officer
Angela Castro is Deputy CEO for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC). In her role, Castro works directly with the CEO, serving as chief of staff and overseeing all strategic and public-facing initiatives that encompass public transportation, traffic management, roadway planning and funding. She directs state and federal government affairs and public policy; purchasing and contracts; traditional and digital marketing; transit advertising; community engagement; media relations and messaging. Castro also manages the agency’s transportation demand management program, Club Ride.
Castro oversees a talented and dedicated team focused on building and strengthening the RTC’s brand values through the implementation of sound public policies, collaborative initiatives, efficient and effective procurement of goods and services and progressive marketing and media relations efforts critical to supporting the RTC’s mission today and in the future.
Before joining the RTC, Castro held several important marketing or media positions with the Las Vegas Monorail, MGM International and the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Prior to her 2022 promotion to Deputy CEO, Castro served as the RTC’s Chief Strategy, Policy and Marketing Officer.
Castro moved to Las Vegas to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations. She later earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University. She is a graduate of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber’s Leadership Las Vegas program. She serves on the Board of Directors for Opportunity 180. She is a member of the Asian Community Development Council Board and Nevada Public Radio Community Advisory Board. In 2018, she was named to Vegas Inc.'s distinguished “40 under 40.”
