RTC transit riders can beat the summer heat during the hot summer months by following these simple tips:

  • Travel with plenty of water and use a spill-proof container on buses.
  • Minimize heat exposure by arriving at your stop no more than 10 minutes before the bus’s scheduled stop time. You can check your bus’s arrival time and location using our online RideTracker or text RideRTC followed by a space and your stop ID number to 41411.
  • Protect your skin by seeking shade at the bus stop, wearing a hat, bringing an umbrella and wearing sunscreen.
