Fares & Passes

Effective Sunday, November 6, 2016, 3-Day, 15-Day and 30-Day passes are no longer sold online and sent via USPS. Transit customers are encouraged to download the new rideRTC transit app to plan your trip, buy your passes and GO! Passes purchased from unauthorized sources may be invalid.

All full and reduced fare residential passes are valid on Strip & Downtown Express and Deuce on the Strip. Children five (5) years of age and younger ride free and must be accompanied by an adult.

Strip & All Access Passes  (Effective November 6, 2016)

The Deuce and the Strip & Downtown Express (SDX) provide premium frequent service approximately every 15 minutes along the Las Vegas Strip and in downtown Las Vegas. Visitors are required to purchase Strip & All Access passes which includes both Strip routes and all other residential routes. Exact fare is required when purchasing passes on board or at ticket vending machines. Children five years of age and younger ride free and must be accompanied by a responsible rider.

Residential Routes (Effective November 6, 2016)

Valid Nevada ID may be required when using residential fares on Strip & Downtown Express and Deuce on the Strip routes. All Residential full and reduced fare passes include access to all RTC Residential Routes, Strip and Downtown Express and Deuce on the Strip routes. Exact fare is required when purchasing passes on board or at ticket vending machines. Children five years of age and younger ride free and must be accompanied by a responsible rider.

Reduced Fare

The RTC offers reduced fares for veterans, youth (6-17 years) / students (K-12), senior citizens (60 and over), persons with disabilities, Medicare eligible persons, and Mobility Trained customers. Passengers are required to present their reduced fare transit I.D. photo card, current school (K-12) student identification card, Veterans reduced fare I.D. card or Medicare card when paying a reduced fare and purchasing or using a reduced fare pass.

Reduced Fare Identification Card

You must present a valid Reduced-Fare Photo ID card to purchase a reduced fare or use a reduced fare pass. Eligible riders may apply for the RTC reduced fare ID card at the Bonneville Transit Center. The forms of identification listed below will be honored to prove eligibility. Medicare Card Holders: Medicare card and a valid driver’s license or non-driver photo ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles; Seniors (60+): A valid driver’s license or non-driver photo ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles; Youths (6-17 years): Birth certificate, valid driver’s license or non-driver photo ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Youth / students (K-12) may present a current Student ID card at the time of boarding; Disabled: Medicare card or a signed letter (original document only) from a physician less than three months old stating the individual is disabled and the time period of the disability accompanied by a valid driver’s license or non-driver photo ID card issued the by the Department of Motor Vehicles; a valid reduced-fare eligibility card from another transit system. A personal care attendant (PCA) is permitted to ride free of charge providing the customer has either a valid fixed-route reduced fare card or Paratransit ID Card from RTC or another transit agency certifying that the customer requires a PCA to ride.

College Transit Passes

Special college transit passes are also available to UNLV, CSN and Nevada State College students.  College transit passes must be purchased on-campus or at the RTC Administration Building, 600 S. Grand Central Pkwy. Must have College Student ID when purchasing the pass. When riding, College ID’s must be presented when using College Transit Passes.  College ID’s are not valid for purchase of reduced fares on board vehicles or at vendor locations.
