Anti-Graffiti Art Contest
HERE’S YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE A MARK AGAINST GRAFFITI
“Keep Southern Nevada Graffiti Free”
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), along with the Southern Nevada Graffiti Coalition, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Graffiti Investigation Section, Crime Stoppers, Outdoor Promotions and Vector Media Las Vegas are proud to host the 8th Annual RTC Anti-Graffiti Art Contest.
This year’s theme is Keep Southern Nevada Graffiti Free. The contest is designed to help teach students that the difference between art and graffiti is permission. All of the artwork will be created by local elementary and middle school students and is intended to encourage the community to respect each other’s property and not damage it with graffiti.
The top two winners will be featured on the outside of a 40-foot RTC transit vehicle courtesy of Vector Media and other RTC transit amenities for up to one year. Crime Stoppers donated 10 shelter ads through Outdoor Promotions to showcase the top 10 pieces of art.
Artwork submitted for the contest must be an original concept, in color; no black and white, photography or glitter will be accepted. Art tools may include markers, crayons, colored pencils or paints. Students must submit artwork on an 11-by-17-inch landscape piece of paper to be considered in the contest.
