Each month more people are discovering that riding the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada transit system saves dollars and makes sense. Our transit system is efficient, reliable and easy to use.
Since 2002, the growth on the Regional Transportation Commission transit system has increased by more than 40 percent. On average, the RTC operates at approximately one and a half times above the national average of passengers per service hour (PPSH).
Passenger Per Service Hour (PPSH) - Is the number of passenger boardings per hour; meaning transit resources continue to be utilized more efficiently. In 2004 the U.S. average for a system of RTC’s size was 27.50 passengers per service hour.

Efficiency is crucial to keeping the wheels moving throughout our growing transit system. A 2006 report ranks the RTC’s transit service above all others in the nation.
According to the National Transit Database, a clearinghouse for transit statistical information within the Federal Transit Administration, the RTC’s operating expense is only $1.77 per passenger trip, 30 cents less than the number two transit system ranked on that list.
