Flamingo at Swenson Street
Sunday, July 5 through Thursday, July 9 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., travel lanes along Flaming Road and Swenson Street will be restricted to one lane in each direction for sewer work. During non-work hours, two travel lanes along Flaming Road will remain open.

Flaming Road at Durango Drive Outreach
On Monday, July 6, as a part of the RTC’s Summer Heat Campaign, Hot 97.5 KVEG Brand Ambassadors will be distributing bottled water to transit riders at the temporary transit stop located on Flamingo Road at Durango Drive between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Swenson Street Closure
On Tuesday, July 7, Swenson Street will be closed completely at Flamingo Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sewer work. Flamingo Road will have single travel lanes open for eastbound and westbound travel. During non-work hours, two travel lanes along Flamingo Road will remain open.

Paradise Road to Koval Lane
Beginning Monday, July 6, current traffic lanes will be adjusted to facilitate construction activities in the median area. On Monday, July 13, traffic control will have 24-hour lane restrictions during water line repair work. Please be alert to current traffic configurations as the work progresses.

Rainbow Boulevard to Fort Apache Road– Westbound
Ongoing bus stop construction will restrict westbound travel to two lanes. Restrictions will be 24 hours a day for approximately one week. Temporary bus stops are in place to minimize disruption for transit customers. Temporary bus stops have been established as close to the regular stop locations as possible.

Transit Route 202 Detours / Shuttle Service
Due to the long-term construction project on Flamingo Road east of Boulder Highway and resulting delays, Route 202 – Flamingo will be shortened and a shuttle will cover the service lost by the shortened route. This change went into effect April 24 and will continue for approximately 3 months.

Flamingo Project Information
Flamingo Rd. is a major east-to-west arterial street that connects extensive existing and planned commercial and residential development directly to the heart of the Resort Corridor and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) campus. The combination of large residential populations at the ends of Flamingo Road and concentrated employment at the center generates substantial commuter traffic on Flamingo Road. The existing transit line on the corridor has more than 12,000 passenger boardings daily, making it the most used residential route in the RTC’s transit system. In addition, Flamingo Road includes connections to all major north-south transportation and transit corridors for the 2 million residents of the Las Vegas valley.
