Spring 2008 Transit Service Changes

This June, routing modifications and frequency increases will go into effect on several routes to improve transit service throughout the valley. The service changes are intended to increase the reliability and the convenience for riders.

“As with most service changes that we have, the June 1 changes will see an increase in frequency in some routes, it will see different kinds and new kinds of equipment on some routes, as well as the extension of the service day and increases in or changes in the routes to provide service to areas that have previously not had service.” said RTC Assistant General Manager Transit Mark Wells.

Two of the most important changes riders will benefit from is the extension of Tropicana Avenue’s Route 201 and Flamingo Road’s Route 202 to Grand Canyon Road. “These routes will now provide access to major shopping centers in that area which has not occurred to this point,” noted Wells.
