Appreciation Day

We wouldn’t have the roads on which we travel without the knowledge and hard work of our contractors, subcontractors and construction workers. We’re showing our appreciation at three active construction sites in the valley.

Wednesday, May 17
Careers in Motion

Texas Station Hotel & Casino, 2101 Texas Star Lane, North Las Vegas, NV 89032
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Career opportunities exist in the design, engineering, and construction industries for roadway projects that build a better infrastructure for Southern Nevada and improve the quality of life of its residents. The public is invited to learn how to enter into a career in design, engineering and construction at “Careers in Motion.”

Find out more information by clicking here or by visiting rtcsnv.com/careersinmotion.

Thursday, May 18
Seeing Orange Day

Seeing Orange is a resource for anyone who has questions about roadway projects throughout the valley. It’s a coordinated partnership among the local government agencies and utility companies that engage in construction projects. Cones can be frustrating, but they are a symbol of progress, growth and jobs. We’re celebrating with a new ad campaign that encourages everyone to “love the cone!”

Friday, May 19
I-11 Media Tour

The RTC and Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will provide local reporters with a progress tour of Nevada’s 15-mile portion of Interstate 11, which is currently in the midst of construction. Once complete, I-11 will connect Las Vegas and Phoenix, the only two U.S. metropolitan cities with more than one million residents not connected by a freeway.
